Dave Ludwig, MS, ATC – Health Center Manager
Dave earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2001, while also earning his certification as an athletic trainer. Afterwards, Dave pursued his master’s degree in Allied Health Management from The Ohio State University. During this time, he worked as an athletic trainer with the Ohio State men’s hockey team. His professional career started at the University of Notre Dame as a Certified Athletic Trainer in 2007. During his seven-year tenure, he worked with a variety of teams, including women’s soccer, women’s rowing, men’s swimming & diving, and fencing. Dave was part of the Sports Medicine staff, working with women’s soccer during their 2010 national championship run. He has also spent time at the Olympic training center and earned his certification as a corrective exercise specialist. In 2015, Dave became Business Manager for Graduate Medical Education at Saint Joseph Health System. During that time, he oversaw the day-to-day operations for the family medicine residency, podiatric residency, high-risk obstetrics program, and sports medicine fellowship. Dave is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Benjamin Garman, M.D. – Medical Director
Dr. Garman received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Purdue University, and his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a family medicine board-certified physician who completed his residency at Saint Joseph Health System. Previously, Dr. Garman was an Associate Director at the family medicine residency at Saint Joseph Health System, as well as having his own clinic at River Park Family Medicine. Dr. Garman enjoys spending his free time playing video and board games, as well as participating in winter sports. In October 2018, Dr. Garman married his wife, Dakota, whose practices locally as a labor and delivery nurse.
Jennifer Ludwig, M.D. – Physician
Dr. Ludwig is a board-certified family physician who graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1992 and from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her family medicine residency at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend. For many years she served as an associate director at St. Joseph Family Residency Program and Director of Continuing Medical Education in addition to caring for patients in her private practice. Dr. Ludwig has years of experience in primary care and women's health, and she is passionate about providing health and wellness care to our community. She enjoys an active lifestyle while spending time with her husband and four children.
Lisa Roeder, M.D. – Physician
Dr. Lisa Roeder is a board-certified family physician. She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2001 and completed her residency at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend. She joined the Notre Dame Wellness Center in 2012 and loves being a part of a team that focuses on Wellness by treating the whole person. Her special interests include international health and travel medicine. Lisa's husband is on faculty at Notre Dame and they have two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and traveling. She is also very active serving within the community and her church.
Toni Medaglia, M.D. – Pediatrician
Dr. Medaglia who often goes by "Dr. Toni " is a board-certified pediatrician who graduated from the University of Toledo Medical Center in 1990. She completed her pediatric residency at Lutheran General Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Dr. Toni has over 28 years of pediatric experience caring for infants, children, and adolescents, including her previous private group practice in northwest Ohio, before joining the Notre Dame wellness center staff in 2013. She is passionate about providing health and wellness care for children of all ages and is very interested in supporting Notre Dame families and providing preventative healthcare services for children of all ages. Toni's husband was on faculty at Notre Dame in Economics before passing away from cancer in 2017. She enjoys keeping up with their four active children ranging in age from 12 to 25 years old.
Alison Voreis, FNP – Nurse Practitioner
Ali has been board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC since 2013. She has been working at the Notre Dame Wellness Center since the spring of 2014. Ali's undergraduate and graduate degrees were obtained from Indiana University. She has worked for both major hospital systems in the area during her practice as a registered nurse. Ali has also served as adjunct faculty at IUSB and Ball State in their Nurse Practitioner programs. Ali enjoys working with a variety of patients and has a special interest in pediatrics and acute care. When Ali is not working, she is enjoying time with her family which includes two young children and her husband who works on Notre Dame’s campus as well.
Brandon Hopkins, FNP – Nurse Practitioner
Brandon Hopkins graduated from Indiana University South Bend in 2014. Since then, he has provided acute care in the Emergency Department locally and now at the Wellness Center. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Brandon worked as a Registered Nurse providing care in Intensive Care, Open Heart, Emergency Department and a variety of other areas for over eight years. Brandon is excited to be part of the team at Notre Dame to help people coordinate toward healthier lifestyles. During down-time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, doing cook outs around the pool and cheering on the Irish.
Anne Colby, FNP – Nurse Practitioner
Anne has been a nurse since 1984. She completed her undergraduate work in 1990 through Saginaw Valley State University, and her MSN through Michigan State University in 1995. Anne has been providing primary care services for families in a variety of settings since graduation, with special interests in women's healthcare, and preventing and treating chronic illnesses. During her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her family. Going on adventures with her 4 grandchildren is her greatest joy!
Ashley Mathis, DP, DPT – Physical Therapist
Ashley Mathis earned her BS in Physical Education focused on exercise science from Indiana University - Purdue University of Indianapolis in 2010. She then moved south to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2013. Focusing her career in orthopedics, Ashley is certified in manual therapy (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine and certified in trigger point dry needling (CMTPT) through Myopain Seminars. She enjoys treating a variety of neuromusculoskeletal conditions including myofascial and chronic pain conditions. She is passionate about education and believes one should never stop learning. Ashley is a native of South Bend and a proud Irish fan. She enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Katelyn Linden, DP, DPT – Physical Therapist
Katelyn Linden earned her BS in clinical exercise science from Grand Valley State University in 2013. She then moved to Iowa to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University in 2015. During her career, Katelyn has focused her practice in outpatient orthopedics and enjoys providing patients with the tools and knowledge to return to the activities and lifestyles that they enjoy. She has passion for orthopedic conditions and has focused her education on manual skills/techniques, postural education, and myofascial techniques to help better her patients. She enjoys being outdoors, crocheting, and renovating houses with husband including two near the Notre Dame Campus.
Bobby Rajkumar – Physical Therapist
Bobby has been practicing Physical Therapy for 30+ years. Having worked in a variety of clinical settings and attending courses over the years, he has gained a lot of knowledge and expertise in treating even the most challenging cases. He believes in providing one-on-one personalized care to his patients, educating them on prevention of re-injury and helping them make a smooth transition to general fitness activities in order to facilitate a healthier lifestyle. When not working, Bobby enjoys spending time with his family along with photography and riding his motorcycle.
Maureen Jamieson – Health Risk Disease Management Nurse
Maureen Jamieson is a registered nurse and registered dietitian. She did her undergraduate work at Ball State University and graduate work at Andrews University. Her background includes oncology, cardiac intermediate care, wellness, and nutrition counseling. When Maureen is not in the office, she is home with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Maureen's special interest is to help people achieve wellness: Body, Mind, Heart, and Spirit.
Martha Vanderheyden – Wellness Coach
Martha holds her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Wellness from Western Michigan University. She is certified as an Intrinsic Coach as well as a Health and Wellness Coach. She has over 25 years of health promotion experience. Martha is passionate about collaborating and partnering with coaching participants on solutions to realize their highest level of health and wellbeing.
